Keep Oakland Beautiful Board of Directors is excited to introduce the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC). The KOB Youth Advisory Committee consists of high school students who are interested in becoming more involved in the mission of KOB and their community, and who would like to gain experience/exposure to the internal workings of a local non-profit organization. Qualifying criteria and responsibilities of a YAC intern:
- a high school Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in Oakland
- interested in becoming more involved in the mission of KOB and their community
- committed to serving for one full calendar year term
- attend at least 3 board meetings, with 2 consecutive meetings (meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of each month from 6 to 8 PM at Oakland City Hall or on Google Meets)
- attend and actively participate in at least 2 KOB events
- attend and participate in subcommittee meetings as requested. There are four subcommittees; each applicant will pick one subcommittee to work with.
