Keep Oakland Beautiful (KOB) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works with the City of Oakland and other community groups towards creating a clean, green, and litter-free Oakland. This is the perfect opportunity to get involved and take action in your own neighborhood and city!
The KOB Board is 100% volunteer run. We are seeking new members who can assist us in duties such as organizing programs and events, creating fundraising strategies, designing marketing content, and increasing community engagement. The most important thing is your love for Oakland and the commitment to keeping it beautiful.

If invited to serve on the Board, you would be expected to contribute 10 hours on average per month (level of work intensity varies seasonally) for a minimum 2-year commitment. In exchange, you will earn valuable community organization and non-profit administration experience and will build lasting connections with fellow Oakland residents and City staff.
