Helping Our Community Keep Oakland Beautiful
The Keep Oakland Beautiful board of directors helps facilitate and fund a number of projects annually that aid in beautification, clean air, and a litter-free Oakland.

KOB Small Grants Program
Every year, we fund several small projects throughout Oakland by providing up to $800 in grants. These projects have included gardens, science projects, native flower planting, murals, and mosaic trash cans.

Daffodil Days
Annually, we invite groups and individuals throughout the city to request daffodil and native bulbs to plant throughout the city. Applications typically open at the end of summer and we distribute bulbs in the fall.

Litter Prevention Awareness
In the spirit of Keep America Beautiful’s long and successful history of anti-litter public service announcements such as the iconic “crying Indian” campaign launched on Earth Day 1971, Keep Oakland Beautiful focuses on the power of advertising in Oakland in support of litter awareness and prevention and to address a serious problem our city faces with illegal dumping.
