LOVE OAK is the citywide movement to take action by picking up litter, recycling, composting and using Oakland's FREE Bulky Pickup services.

Together, we will build a clean, green and sustainable city for all Oaklanders.

I Love Oakland. To help my community become more beautiful, I pledge to:

• Recycle every day. I will recycle my own plastic, paper, metal, and glass.
• Compost every day. I will compost my own food and yard waste.
• Reduce litter every day. I will keep my community clean and not litter.
  
• Bulky Pickup annually. I will utilize my FREE pickup to properly dispose of my apartment or house waste.

MLK Day of Service Monday January 19, 2026 from 9AM - 12PM     

• You're invited to kick off a beautiful new year on MLK Day of Service, Monday January 19, 2026. 
• Registered volunteers will receive complimentary tickets to see our Champion Ballers play in 2026!*
• Led in partnership with The Oakland Ballers, California Climate Action Corps, Oakland Public Works Adopt-A-Spot, OPRYD, Oakland Parks & Rec Foundation and more, we're showing our love to The Town as One Big Oakland Family!
