Re-Create 2008 Art Exhibition & Traveling Exhibit
Re-Create - a compelling art exhibit created by Oakland students unveiled on November 14, 2008 in celebration of America Recycles Day, will be on display through December 20, 2008. The young artists used discarded materials in creating the artwork while learning about the 4Rs- reduce, reuse, recycle and rot.
The public is invited to view this juried art exhibit that showcases the powerful talent of our youth on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am - 2pm at 472 Water Street, Jack London Square, Oakland.
Re-Create Traveling Exhibit – selected pieces will become part of an exhibit that will travel to Oakland City Hall on January 5, 2009. The artworks will be featured on the Mezzanine of the Rotunda through February 2nd. These and other Re-Create entries will be on display at Oakland Public Library Branches, as follows :
